A view out of a plane window, overlooking a mountain range, complete with paper clouds, all in the confines of a twenty by twenty centimetre box. This was to illustrate the subject of my dissertation; what is the appeal of and fascination with looking at miniature worlds, or miniaturised versions of our world? I enjoyed creating this piece in particular, as it enabled me to work within a very strict set of boundaries and yet create the illusion of a vast, awe inspiring landscape. I for one, would choose the window seat time and time again.
