Snorkelling, all along the drop off, forests of coral, like nothing else I had ever seen. Another world, an alien world. All kinds of fish, little blue ones dancing in the sunbeams. A big one lurking at the bottom of the coral cliff. Such a BIG eye. Scary and beautiful.
Watching the sunset on a tiny white sailing boat. When everyone had gone to sleep, I lay alone on deck in the bows, looking up and the sky filled with shooting stars.
A whole different set of stars, Southern stars. Some of them shooting in big arcs with a curl at the end. A big sky, lapping of the water. The gentle rock of the boat.
